Cube [1997]
Summary
Directed and co-written by Vincenzo Natali, Cube (1997) is a Canadian science-fiction horror film about seven strangers who wake up trapped inside a surreal, high-tech labyrinth composed of thousands of interconnected, color-coded cubical rooms—many of which contain lethal hidden traps.
As the group attempts to decipher mathematical prime-number codes on the room hatches to navigate safely toward an exterior exit, rising psychological tension, paranoia, and violent conflicts among them prove just as deadly as the maze itself.
After internal conflict claims almost the entire group, only Kazan, a developmentally disabled math savant whose calculations guided them to the edge, manages to step out into the bright light, leaving the true purpose and origin of the mysterious structure an unsolved enigma.
