Khinchin’s constant is one of the fascinating surprises of number theory: it shows that a hidden pattern appears in the continued fractions of almost all real numbers. When a number is written as a continued fraction, its coefficients may look random, but the geometric mean of these coefficients tends to the same value, a constant known as Khinchin’s constant, approximately 2.685452001.... 

This discovery, made by mathematician Aleksandr Khinchin, reveals that randomness in mathematics can still contain deep order. Even more surprising is that although numbers like π and other famous constants seem to follow this rule based on calculations, no one has yet proven it for any specific famous number.
