White Chamber (2018) - mklabgr - 09-29-2026
White Chamber is a 2018 British science-fiction horror film written and directed by Paul Raschid, starring Shauna Macdonald and Oded Fehr. The story follows Dr. Elle Chrysler, who awakens inside a mysterious white chamber and is subjected to torture and interrogation by people seeking information she claims not to possess. As the situation develops, the film explores themes of captivity, psychological manipulation, technology, survival, and political conflict within a dystopian future.
The film combines science fiction, horror, and dystopian elements, with much of its tension coming from the confined environment and uncertainty about what is actually happening. It premiered at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival in April 2018 and was later released on Netflix in March 2019. Critical reception was mixed, although Shauna Macdonald's performance was particularly praised; she won the Scottish BAFTA Award for Best Actress for the role.
